NAKAMICHI 480 CASSETTE DECK * SUPERB CONDITION, NEW BELTS INCLUDED * in Chelsea, Quebec for sale

CONDITION IS IMPORTANT:
This Nak was completely lubed and otherwise serviced and works perfectly.
All cold solder joints were touched up with fresh solder, to make sure there are no intermittent connections. Heads were meticulously cleaned and are in like new condition. Original quality belt set (made in Japan, nice and expensive) is included, so you don't have to worry about performance for the next 25 years. All adjustments were done with classic Maxell XLII tape.
This was my reference tape deck at one time, so good it is.
My opinion is that Nak 480 sounds significantly better than LX-5 (which is similar in design but has unnecessarily complex signal path) and slightly better than BX-300; this is the best sounding 2-Head deck ever made by Nakamichi Corporation, that rivals far more expensive 3-Head decks.
The sound produced by this deck is rich, articulate and dynamic, very much life-like. Just make sure whatever Model 480 you buy works to specs; with nice quality recording you will be in sonic heaven forever - this particular Nak model weighs 15 lbs, is very well built and is super reliable !
